Both male and female plants are required to produce fruit and it will take about five years of constant attention to take a worthwhile crop from the vines after planting. The Kiwifruit vine comes into flower in November and the crop harvesting takes place during the months of April and May. Kiwifruit have a beautiful emerald green flesh with a light yellow core lines with tiny black seed and a full refreshing fragrance.
